What is WBGL?

The World's Biggest Gratitude Lesson (WBGL) is a free annual online classroom event connecting schools, teachers, and students worldwide to practise gratitude, kindness, empathy, and positive reflection. Founded during COVID-19 in 2020, WBGL has grown into a global movement reaching 300,000+ students across 60+ countries.

Why Gratitude?

Research shows gratitude practise builds empathy, reduces anxiety, and improves mental wellbeing in children. WBGL helps teachers bring gratitude into the classroom through the 5 Habits of Happiness: gratitude, kindness, empathy, positive reflection, and serving others.

How It Works

  1. Register Your School - Sign up for free at wbgl.org. Takes 2 minutes and gives you instant access to all resources.
  2. Receive Your Teams Link - Registered schools receive the Microsoft Teams joining link via email before the event.
  3. Join on the Day - Log in to Microsoft Teams on 10 September and join thousands of schools worldwide for the lesson.
